Gifts

Recently I was engaged in an exercise in which a group of people either gave you a gift or told you what your gift was. I don't know these people very well but I too had to tell them either their gift or give them a gift.

It turned out I was last to receive my gifts and what I heard surprised me. A room full of people, who barely knew me, provided a list of gifts unique to every list prior. What surprised me is their gifts were all things that meant so very much to me.

This is the message of Christianity: Eternal suffering awaits anyone who questions God's infinite love. Or, to paraphrase: I will make your life a living hell if you don't think like me.

As long as one person lives in darkness then it seems to be a responsibility to tell other people.

This idea of "I'm offended". Well I've got news for you. I'm offended by a lot of things too. Where do I send my list? Life is offensive. You know what I mean? Just get in touch with your outer adult. And grow up. And move on. Reasonable people don't write letters because... A: They have lives and B, they understand it's just TV. C: If they see something they don't like, something they do like might be on later. I've seen many comics I've hated. I've seen many shows that have offended me. I've never written a letter. I just go about my life.
